State Road 126 in the U.S. State of Indiana was a short east–west highway connecting former State Road 526 (McCormick Road) with the former alignment of U.S. Route 231 (Northwestern Avenue) in West Lafayette. Route description State Road 126 formed the northern boundary of the Purdue University campus. It was a child of, and ran parallel to, State Road 26 which was about a mile to the south. It travels from IL 47 in Yorkville to Interstate 55 (I-55) between Plainfield and Bolingbrook. Route description IL 126 begins at an intersection with IL 47 in Yorkville, and travels as a rural two-lane road until it intersects historic Lincoln Highway and enters Plainfield as West Lockport Road. Immediately after crossing the DuPage River, it turns northeast onto Main Street, bypassing Downtown Plainfield, and intersects the concurrency of US 30 and IL 59 at North Division Street. It continues northeastward out of Plainfield on Main Street until it ends at an intersection with I-55. There is no access to IL 126 from northbound I-55. Route description Route 126 begins as Point of Rocks Road splitting off to the west from Route 63 in the Huntsville section of the town of Canaan.
